Life as we live it.
What is the point of life? Is it to accommodate all the riches you can? To gain all the power you can? To be respected? To live lavishly? To have all kind of pleasures? To die?
The list of questions is endless, that is why we ignore them. We ignore them by the art of indulgence and by far humans are the best in the art of Indulgence. We indulge ourselves from an early life, courtesy of our parents, for we are not able to take decisions for ourselves at that early age. We live a life which according to them will lead us to a path of happiness, which they think is money, or power, or status, for when they were young their parents chose for them and when you will have offsprings, you will choose for them.
This is the path that leads to an endless cycle of pain and suffering which is why your soul is forced to take birth again and again and follow the vicious circle simply because someone chose for you.
You go to school, where you are taught about stuff which is decided by the school authorities as to how important and unimportant a certain topic is. Because obviously you cannot choose for yourself.
You get into a college to get a degree, and by this time you feel something is wrong, the sky and its vastness speaks to you, the mountains, the beaches, everything is putting a melody in your ear they are trying to give you a message, to tell you that you are not living a life in which you are the decision maker. But unfortunately sometimes these voices of nature are shunned and overshadowed by those who decide for you. You want to be a writer? What will you eat? You want to be a singer? Are you out of your mind? A doctor is the best job for you. Trust me, I know. That is what you do. You trust.
You do what they asked, but that's not enough. Remember, this is not their fault, they were just like you. They wanted to escape as well, but were not strong, just like you. They'll ask you to get married next, raise a kid, teach him, and unfortunately you'll feed your kid the same poison they fed you with the same spoon you've disgusted all your life.
You'll clean the spoon, wash it thoroughly, rub it, shine it, because it's the least you can do for your child.
And this is your life, my life, almost all life around us. No one knows us, no one will. Unless, you break the circle and raise your own thoughts, do what you love. And I promise you we will all clap for you and admire you for doing that one thing that none of us could do, and that one thing is living.

It's easy to live, you did it without trying when you were young. |
